Erich Gonzales signs contract with Star Cinema
MANILA, Philippines - After making waves on TV with her back-to-back hit teleseryes Katorse and Tanging Yaman, Erich Gonzales is gearing up to prove her worth as an actress on the big screen.
Erich just signed an exclusive two-picture deal with Star Cinema, and she expressed her joy over this latest achievement in her career.

Erich Gonzales now living her dream!
“I’m now living my dream,” she remarked with excitement, recalling that ever since her childhood it had always been her dream to become an actress. “I would act in front of the mirror, imitating the stars I see on TV and the movies,” Erich told us. And then she learned about the Star Circle Quest audition that ABS-CBN conducted in Davao City where she lived (she was born in Cebu though).
“I went to the audition, ang haba ng pila! I thought wala akong pag-asa na makasali. But I was able to, at nanalo pa ako as Grand Questor! Hindi ko talaga akalain na mananalo ako.” That was four years ago, and now “I’m living my dream,” Erich said again.
In her four years with ABS-CBN, Erich has done supporting roles in some teleseryes like “Sana Maulit Muli” and “Pieta.” A simple but very pretty and charming Filipina lass, Erich has also been seen in other Kapamilya shows such as “Abt Ur Luv,” “Your Song,” “Ligaw na Bulaklak, “Panday,” “Kung Fu Kids,” and “Mga Anghel na Walang Langit.”

Katorse
Erich Gonzales will star in the remake of the sexy film, “Katorse.” The original Katorse starred Dina Bonnevie which launched her to stardom back in the early ’80′s. Katorse is known for the trademark “magic kamison” wherein the usually young lead star dons a sexy top which would look even sexier when the star goes for a swim because of the wet look. Erich Gonzales is an ABS-CBN reality star search winner several years ago from Davao City but has since been relegated to supporting roles since in its various soaps. But this time, Katorse will not be ‘that’ daring for sure since it will be shown on television every Sunday afternoon over at ABS-CBN via Your Song Presents: Katorse. Erich Gonzales will be partnered with Xian Lim and Ejay Falcon. There are conflicting reports though that Erich Gonzales will do a remake of Katorse on the big screen via Regal Films.
Career of Erich
Gonzales won as Grand Questor in the reality talent search Star Circle National Teen Quest in 2005. She appeared in many ABS-CBN shows.
Gonzales played the lead role as teenage mother in the TV adaptation of the film Katorse. Gonzales is also currently a regular performer on ASAP XV.
Biography of Erich
The youngest of three siblings, she was born on September 20, 1990 in Cebu City and raised in Davao City. After winning Star Circle Quest, she changed her last name from Gancayco to Gonzales which is her mother's maiden last name.
Gonzales is currently attending college at the Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City.
